World before 1200 CE
​
Unit 1- The Global Tapestry (1200-1450). This unit focuses on six different sections of the globe (East Asia, Dar-al Islam, South/Southeast Asia, Americas, Africa, and Europe)
​
Unit 2- Networks of Exchange (1200-1450). This unit focuses on how the Afro-Eurasian world was already pretty well connected by the Silk Roads, Trans-Saharan Trade Routes, and Indian Ocean Trade Routes. It's all about the networks of exchange and of course the Mongol Empire.

Unit 3- Land Based Empires (1450-1750). This unit focuses on how empires expand, the administration of them, belief systems, and comparisons of these empires.
​
Unit 4- Transoceanic Interconnections (1450-1750). This unit focuses on the causes, implications, and outcomes of Europeans arriving in the Americas, Africas, and Asia.
​
Unit 5- Revolutions (1750-1900). This unit focuses on change. Many political revolutions but the biggest change was the Industrial Revolution. It’s on par with the Agricultural Revolution in changing the way humanity functions as a whole.
​
Unit 6- Consequences of Industrialization (1750-1900). This unit focuses on imperialism and the response to that.
​
Unit 7- Global Conflict (1900 to the present). This unit focuses on the shifting of power in the world. It will cover both world wars as well as the time in between them.
​

Unit 8- Cold War and Decolonization (1900 to the present). This unit focuses on the Cold War as well as decolonization and the newly independent states.
​
​
Unit 9- Globalization (1900 to the present). This unit focuses on advances in technology and exchange, economics and a globalized world.
